When I left my previous BJJ school I tried a couple of schools in the Scranton area that were excellent but just too far. Lucky American Killer Bee's is just across the street from my former school. I love this place! Matt and his wife are awesome. Professor Perez is amazing. I'm doing moves that I never thought I'd be able to do at the age of 53. He rolls with you every chance he gets. Everyone there is friendly. American Killer Bee's is everything I wanted in a BJJ, MMA, school. It's bigger than my previous school. I get to continue my Muay Thai and Boxing training which my previous school doesn't have. I'm not pressured or forced to buy Gi's or equipment. Most of all it's a really family oriented school.

Have been training there about 2 months now. Matt is a knowledgeable and good coach. Everyone there is very humble and willing to help teach what they know. I always feel welcome and there is a positive atmosphere. Will be training here for many years.
Fighting Instructor Biography
Head Instructor, Matt Perez,
Has been involved in some form of martial arts training his entire life. His grandfather was a professional boxer and his father fought in Golden Gloves so you can say fighting is in his blood. Matt started boxing at a very young age and wrestling at the age of seven. He opened his school in 2013 which is now the longest running MMA school in the Poconos. He earned his BJJ black belt under Luis Martinez and Israel Gomes on November 11, 2017 and just recently received his first degree. Matt also has his black kurang in Muay Thai under Israel Gomes. When he is not training his students, Matt is focusing on his professional MMA career. He is currently 1-0 with multiple fights lined up in the year 2020.
